Too Well Dressed to be Stressed

Hello lovelies sorry haven't posted in a while, have been really busy with school and work and stuff:( but I figured as its my half term I cant spend every minute of every day studying, so this is a little break from that:)

Sometimes I think we all have those days were everything maybe just gets a little bit too much. Whether its parents that just nag a bit too much, school work has heaped up on you, or your friends are pissing you off or ALL of the above, sometimes we need to take a really deep breath and think to yourself: stop.

if you are sat there thinking that you never seem to see other people having really bad days, it doesn't mean they don't have them! I can guarantee you that every single person on this planet has experienced stress else they are not human!
We can ALL feel...

So all you really need to do is remember that stress can overpower you and go from a little weight on your shoulders, to over controlling your whole life. Don't stress or worry over the things in life that you cant change- focus on the things that you can.

so here's one more little thought for today, if you do all these things, your life will be peachy:)

live every day to the full and try to avoid letting stress overcome your life- let stress be your friend and be at peace with it. If you are feeling down or as though everything in life has suddenly become too much, sit down and think of one positive thing that's happened to you today (and if you cant think of anything, quite literally the fact that you are here in this life for another day is good enough). Smile as often as possible; it is no rumour that laughing is good for you, and true beauty comes with a smile.

Autumn Wishlist 2013

Hi beauties, So here are 8 things that are already on my Christmas list :D some music, jewellery, makeup and clothes- hope you see something you like- might want to add it to yours!:)

This gorgeous matte nail varnish from TopShop is simple and elegant, perfect for an autumn look to tone down and add simplicity to an outfit.
£5- Fog Grey

I really love this bra as the colour is bright and cheerful which eliminates post-summer blues. Although autumn fashion usually involves a lot of darker hues, why not wear some bright underwear to feel beautiful underneath?

Next up is the new album from the gorgeous Eliza Doolittle- lots of love for this star, she is a true inspiration and a huge style icon. Her new album is an absolute must!

This premium Rhinestone flower headband is perfect for an autumn evening look. It can smarten up an outfit and all a little sparkle and class to a look.

This cute beaded collar blouse is really cute and looks really flattering with dark jeans or tucked in to a skater skirt. I just love the nautical stripes- this is a must for winter!
-£42 Urban Outfitters

Up next is this insanely cool pastel Penny Board. I love these so much, great means of transport or if you just want to look really cool;) My friend Jack introduced me to these sick boards and he's giving me a couple of lessons before I get one so I don't look like a total idiot;)

I really like this pretty filigree bag pendant necklace, adding a little cuteness to a simple look.

He who angers you conquers you

Pouring gasoline on fire and throwing some water will not work. If you STOP pouring gasoline then throwing water, that may help. Anger is not caused by other people, it is an angry persons imagination working over time.

So I don't want this post to stress you out even more than life might be stressing you out already, I merely want it to help some of you who, like I, might suffer from anger problems, mind stress and/or a quick temper.

Have you ever felt like your head is literally about to explode because something might have pissed you off in the morning say, and then every little thing that happens throughout that day seems to irritate you and build up inside you, until the point where you have no option to get it out one way or another?

Some people do this violently or verbally, but lashing out at others that are merely in your way or even trying to help you is only going to make thing worse. Others release the anger physically by going on a run, a bike ride or even a session with a punching bag. For me? None of these really helped as I tried them all but never seemed to be able to release all my anger. I often go for runs as it does help a lot to clear my head, but never fully rids the anger. I feel sometimes that I have so much inside me that need to get out, that its impossible to let any of it go and so it just builds up even more. In these cases it has lead to breakdowns, fainting and even mild depression. You feel like you are stuck inside your head and its almost like the sides are closing in on you with no way out.

Quite often there is no real cause for our anger. We might have woken up in a bad mood or someone has done something to annoy us, but we frequently get ourselves worked up on our own accord. If you are in a bad mood, on your period or just feeling down, then say to yourself that you are going to just maybe keep quite and not let things others around you may be saying aggravate you. I can guarantee you that this way, your anger wont be able to build up inside you as there will be nothing to add to it. You will also notice that the bad mood/bad day, will pass much quicker in order for you to either find time to be alone, or simply go home and get away from school.

If you find some people can irritate you on a regular basis, then you can actually learn from this and think to yourself- do I irritate others like this? and if the answers yes- do something about it. I have often annoyed people in the past but I can assure you (even if I've annoyed one of you reading this and what I'm about to say seems unlikely), that every single time I have tried to make amends. It is something I have always done as I really hate the feeling that someone doesn't want to be around me or is irritated by something I've done. There are always going to be the people that you don't get on with which is fine- we are all humans and personalities naturally clash, but maybe you could try to be civil with someone you know is not particularly keen on you and who knows you might alter their opinion. Opinions can change. You can change. You can change your life in less than a second if you wanted to.

If you, like me, get wound up about absolutely minute things that are way out of your control, the only thing to do is let it go. Don't sit there and fume over what you cant change- focus on the aspects of life that you CAN change and I can promise you that this will make an improvement.

I really hope that this has helped at least one of you maybe figure out why you get so angery, avoid the anger completely or given you some ideas of how to deal with your anger once you have it.
Have a lovely day, full of smiles and giggles

The Bowler Hat

Hi my lovelies hope you are having a good weekend:) little post about my new lil' obsession Bowler hats!:') saw one in TopShop while shopping in Bath but thought it wouldn't suit me because I don't look great in hats. Bowler hats however are quite different than most hats so I decided to order one and see what it looked like:) to my surprise I really loved it! It goes with literally all my outfits if they need smartening up or an added spark.
They look great with dresses too so its not just a one outfit affair!

Go a little different and try a burgundy one- perfect for a casual summer accessory.

Smarten it up with heels and a clutch for a night out:)

There are plenty of other colours if you want something a bit different- try this cute nautical look, stunning for an everyday trip shopping or meal out.

If your thinking you might not suit one just order a cheap one on Ebay and see what happens- only one way to find out! Have a gorgeous day

Not-so-sunny Sunday

Pic of the day: let the sunshine on your face:) (when there's a gap in the rain...<3)
Quote of the day: Nothing is impossible; the word itself says I'm Possible! -Audrey Hepburn <3

Thought of the day: we are most alive when we're in love <3

Colour of the day: this deep orange/red looks really good this season and goes with nearly autumn     looks. Brings out a bit of colour as the sun disappears.
Outfit of the day:) oversized jumpers not only keep you snug as winter draws in;) but are also very flattering with skinny jeans or leggings to contrast.

I hope you have a lovely weekend- they go so fast:(( enjoy every second<3

Sunkissed skin & Sandy toes

Summer. Sunshine. Salivating smells. sun-kissed skin and sandy toes. Hi guys hope your all well:) Might be a slightly depressing post but in a different way to normal..;) this is my throwback blog to summer:) love summer so much here are a few memories and reasons why you should all love summer too if you don't already!:')

Firstly, and MOST importantly, the summer fashion:) You cant honestly keep a straight face and tell me that you don't love the shorts, dresses, pastel colours and floral prints. I think summer fashion just makes people feel really great and as corny as this sounds; just really summery:) as gay as this statistic sounds, tests have shown that people are generally happier when the weather is warmer and we can get out our sunglasses and take off our woolly socks.

Summer is the best especially when you have amazing people to spend it with. Some famous philosopher once said 'its the people around us who shape who we are' and they couldn't be more right. If you lived your life shut away in your room and never spoke to anyone at school and didn't try to meet up with any friends on holiday or at a weekend, then I can assure you that you are a very different person to the one you could be. Your friends shape your personality and you pick up many things from them. Just remember ONE thing- you mean a lot to someone then they will make sure you are part of your life- no one else is really worth bothering about<3

Family can also make your summer so special:) this summer just been I went on a gorgeous 2week holiday to the south of France with my lovely famalam and I have to say it was the best two weeks of my life. Some of you may know that I broke my foot in a dance show at the beginning of the summer and so therefore was on crutches and in a big plaster cast for the duration of the summer.

Honestly? I thought it was going to be the worst summer of my life- wasn't allowed swimming or to play tennis or do some of the stuff I would have usually done in the summer. I owe it to my parents and my sister for being so tolerable and patient with me, and although I was obviously hobbling along in a foreign country feeling rather sorry for myself, I sincerely had the most incredible time and made some amazing memories.

I met some amazing people, drunk a little too much French beer and got some decent tan lines;) It really was incredible and I hope you all had an amazing summer too- would love to hear about them all?:)
Much love
